Pianist Andrea Liria played the Erard piano (first serial piano manufacturer in the world), the copy was manufactured in France in 1860.

Opera singer Felipe Menegat recalled the origins of the owners, Italy, opera, and Luciano Pavarotti, who visited the hotel in 1991.

The word Ca'd'Oro means House of Gold, and is the name of the Palazzo Barbarigo, in Venice, Italy, which is the creation of the American artist James Lee Byars.

When Aurélio Guzzoni took the stage, it was to remember stories about the hotel and its distinguished guests, he recalled that Pavarotti needed a scale to support his weight. Aurélio said he didn't want to take up too much time with stories, but they are countless with famous characters such as: Di Cavalcanti, Vinícius de Moraes, the former King Juan Carlos I of Spain. Among the Brazilian presidents: João Figueiredo, José Sarney and Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

Fabrizio Guzzoni has the same name as the grandfather who founded the family business, he is the COO of Hotel Ca'd'Oro, he thinks that rejuvenating a brand is a challenge. In 2016, when there was a reopening, former guests were divided, wanting more from the traditional Hotel Ca'd'Oro, that icon of hospitality in the city of São Paulo. “Our job is to show São Paulo that the Ca'd'Oro is not that 1970s hotel, but is a young hotel. Rua Augusta has also changed a lot, it is a center of young attractions, that's why we set up the Sky Bar, to take advantage of the cocktail trend”, explained the COO.

The Ca'd'Oro restaurant continues to maintain the essence of the hotel, haute Italian cuisine and renowned wines. The renovation on the 27th floor, where the Sky Bar is located, features a bar, a panoramic view of the central region of São Paulo, a dance floor, dj, swimming pool and is part of the brand's rejuvenation project – Coquetelaria.

Fabrizio went to study, understand what young people expect from happy hour and clubbing and arrived at instagramable cocktails, so during the pandemic period he went to learn mixology, experimenting and testing authorial cocktails and different combinations in the classics. He gathered his team at the hotel and founded the Sky Bar.

The result highlights the Amaretti Bagnatti cocktail by mixologist Fabrizio Guzzoni, made with Amaretto Disaronno liqueur, Cointreau, Rye Whiskey and Sicilian Lemon, accompanied by a tasty biscuit to dip in the cocktail. Harmonious, refreshing and authorial, that is, you can only taste it at the Sky Bar at Ca'd'Oro.

From Rua Barão de Itapetininga (until 2009), to a symbol of Baixo Augusta, “Ca'd'Oro wouldn't be Ca'd'Oro if it weren't for Augusta”, concluded Fabrizio Guzzoni.
