Tourism in El Salvador grew 34% during the August holidays

The Ministry of Tourism reported that, during the August holiday period, from July 29 to August 7, it registered a 34% growth in the arrival of international tourists

With the reception of more than 96,000 visitors, the recovery of the post-pandemic tourism sector is consolidated.

According to official data, 35% of arrivals came from the United States, 41% from Guatemala and 17% from Honduras. The statistics also show a growth of 32% in currencies, which reached $96 million.

These festivities are held in honor of the Divine Savior of the World, an exclusive party in the Salvadoran capital that is linked to religious festivities.
