In addition to new hotels, shopping centers and restaurants, thrill seekers will be among the first to experience new attractions at the state's exciting theme parks. With recent expansions to Florida's intercity rail route, exploring everything new in 2024 will be easier than ever.

THEME PARKS

Busch Gardens

A thrilling adventure for the whole family will soar above the Serengeti Plain at Busch Gardens Tampa in spring 2024. Riders will feel the force of the wind and the thrill of flight on Phoenix Rising, a suspended roller coaster that swings from side to side. side while flying over the Pantopia region. Phoenix Rising will be the park's first coaster to feature onboard audio, enhancing the ride experience with a unique soundtrack embedded in an exhilarating series of twists, turns and surprises for families traveling together.

LEGOLAND

LEGOLAND Florida Resort will debut two major attractions in 2024: LEGO Ferrari "Build and Race" Experience and Sea Life Florida Resort. The LEGO Ferrari Build and Race Experience will offer visitors the opportunity to create their own Ferrari racing car in interactive play areas, test it on three extreme circuits and race on a virtual track to the finish line. Sea Life Florida Resort, opening in fall 2024, is an immersive aquarium that offers families the opportunity to get up close and personal with marine life and embark on “a journey of ocean exploration,” culminating in “Theme Park under the sea". This attraction will require a separate ticket.

SeaWorld

Penguin Trek, coming to SeaWorld Orlando in 2024, invites families to hop on a snowmobile and race alongside an expedition team, negotiating curves and escaping the dangers of a frozen cavern in Antarctica. The ultimate discovery is revealed at the end of the trip: an authentic penguin habitat.

Universal Orlando Resort

Next year, Universal Orlando Resort will open a new theme park featuring some of DreamWorks Animation's most beloved characters. Guests will be able to share special moments with their favorite characters, like Gabby from Gabby's Dollhouse, and explore interactive spaces and attractions that bring popular franchises like Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda to life.

Walt Disney World Resort

At Walt Disney World Resort, Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain will be transformed into Tiana's Bayou Adventure. This Princess and the Frog reimagining of the iconic boat attraction transports riders to the Louisiana bayou, with appearances from Princess Tiana, Mama Odie, and her friends. Also at Magic Kingdom, a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge is coming to Adventureland in 2024. This unique experience will expand on the Pirates of the Caribbean story and will be located near the main attraction.    

RESTAURANTS

The Amalfi Llama

The Amalfi Llama restaurant in Aventura is inspired by cultures ranging from the Patagonian countryside to the Italian Mediterranean coast. Specialized in fire cooking with smoke, charcoal and embers to prepare meats, seafood and vegetables; Among their most popular dishes are cedar-grilled burrata, wood-fired pizza, steaks, and branzino.

All Sea

Tutto Mare, a Mediterranean concept from Tutto il Giorno restaurant group, will open next year at The Royal Poinciana Plaza as Palm Beach's first and only coastal restaurant. Tutto Mare will offer delicious cuisine and an unforgettable experience for customers, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the water to align with the original vision of an open-air coastal restaurant.

HOTELS

EVEN Hotel Sweetwater – Doral

With the goal of putting “wellness within reach,” EVEN Hotel Sweetwater – Doral is scheduled to open in summer 2024. The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort and Residences will open in spring 2024, featuring a 166-room luxury hotel and three six-story residential buildings with 69 luxury residences. Hotel guests and owners will have access to first-class amenities, including multiple swimming pools, a world-class spa, a high-end wellness center, daily housekeeping, pet grooming, and butler, concierge, chef, Bentley and driver.

TRANSPORTATION

Brightline

Sit back, relax and see more of Florida on Brightline high-speed rail service. Brightline's new Orlando station, opening in September 2023, connects passengers to South Florida with stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Miami. The Orlando station is conveniently located in Terminal C of Orlando International Airport, so visitors can easily extend their getaways to Central and South Florida destinations without missing their flights. A future expansion to Tampa is currently being studied.
