The island has 17 properties, of which 4 are part of the luxury portfolio. Of those properties, Anja Frankenbach will be in charge of The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort as its new general manager, while Marcel Kloet will be in charge of Dorado Beach, at the Ritz-Carlton
Reserve.
Both Frankenbach and Kloet are prominent leaders in the luxury hospitality industry and have extensive international experience.
Anja Frankenbach - The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort
With a career spanning more than twenty years, Anja Frankenbach developed her professional career with Marriott International, and will now bring that knowledge acquired to her new role within The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort. Frankenbach will lead the resort team and
oversee the daily operations of the property. Frankenbach started in 2002 at Hotel Arts Barcelona where she gained valuable experience with different positions in international locations spanning from Europe to Latin America and Asia. Prior to her arrival in Puerto Rico, Anja served as general manager of The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and was previously general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Santiago, Chile. Anja also held other positions as food and beverage director at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Krabi and at Abama Golf & Spa Resort, The Ritz-Carlton, Tenerife, among others.
Marcel Kloet - Dorado Beach, a Ritz Carlton Reserve
For his part, Marcel Kloet brings more than two decades of experience holding leadership positions in renowned establishments in Europe, Australia and Asia. From early in his life, Kloet demonstrated a passion for service by helping his mother in the kitchen during her vacations. At age 15, he took on a role in a small hotel restaurant, beginning a lifelong journey into the world of hospitality. Later, at age 17, as head chef in a 200-room hotel, he discovered a love for business management, which led to studies in Holland, Cyprus, Australia and Beijing. His journey with Marriott International began during an internship in Beijing in 2008. Today, Kloet brings a wealth of industry experience cultivated during his previous roles as general manager at The St. Regis Macau and Langkawi's. He currently serves as general manager of Dorado Beach, a Ritz Carlton Reserve where he will oversee the entire operation and commercial strategy of this exclusive property.
