Sales of Travel Agencies for Easter would have increased by 19%, reveals ANATO

Holy Week is one of the most significant celebrations for Colombians and foreign tourists, not only because it is a time of tradition, but also because it has become days to enjoy trips with family, couples and friends, to national and international destinations. who celebrate it in various ways.

“We know that this is a holiday season that has gained a lot of strength and to know the purchasing intention and those places that are attracting the most people, we consult our Travel Agencies about the behavior that the marketing of products and services has had. ”explained Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO. 

The ANATO survey showed that 48% of the Travel Agencies that participated in the study assured that their sales for Easter have increased. In fact, of this group, they stated that their sales had grown on average 19%. 

Furthermore, although traditional places continue to be the most sought-after destinations, there are others that have been gaining positions, such as Norcasia (Caldas) , ideal for nature and adventure tourism; Pradera (Valley) , recognized for its gastronomy; Casanare (Yopal), perfect for cultural, nature and scientific tourism; Guaviare, for lovers of sustainable, rural and community tourism; and Chigorodó (Antioquia) , which offers heritage and nature tourism. 

In the case of non-traditional international destinations that, according to the Travel Agencies, have been the most marketed for the season, there are Japan, which this year, for the first time, participated in the last ANATO Tourist Showcase; Bolivia, which offers history, culture and was awarded by the World Travel Awards as the “Best Natural Tourist Attraction in South America: Salar de Uyuní"; and finally, Cuba, with its offer of sun and beach and cultural tourism.
