Since the arrival to the fleet of the first unit in 2016, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner has become Air Europa's main trademark. This model, the most advanced in its category for long-haul flights, has made a significant contribution to the company's growth, as shown by the number of passengers carried over the years. By the end of 2023, the Dreamliners carried more than 15.6 million passengers, reflecting the value of this aircraft and its role in the transformation and evolution of the airline.
From 2022 and as part of its fleet unification process, all long-haul routes are covered by this model. In fact, in 2023, the Dreamliner fleet broke its passenger record in a single year, well above pre-pandemic levels. It has larger windows, more space in the cabin, and an optimised ventilation system, all of which helps to improve passengers' rest and reduce the fatigue associated with jet lag. Air Europa's Business Class has also become one of the airline's main offerings, both for the comfort of its seats, which can be converted into two-metre long beds, and for the variety and quality of the services available.
