Joel Santos, president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, affirmed that this event is a valuable contribution to the international promotion of the country
The National Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) brings together the local tourism industry in the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE). The event was created to provide a commercial exchange organized professionally where international wholesalers, tour operators, incentive groups, airlines and charters (buyers) can meet and conduct business with the main tourism providers of the Dominican Republic.
Buyers will have the opportunity to meet, at their discretion, with more than 150 different suppliers of Dominican tourism products and services.
Buyers and suppliers receive a Directory of DATE delegates, which includes marketing information and products of all participants. Once received, the Buyer's delegates review the information about the Suppliers and request appointments with the Suppliers they wish to comply with. While Suppliers may request meetings with Buyers, it is not necessary for Buyers to meet with them unless they wish to do so.
