The global sales, marketing and distribution firm serving 350 independent luxury hotels in 50 countries continues to grow and bring talents to its team


With a continued focus on expanding its global presence, WorldHotels, a global sales, marketing and distribution company serving 350 independent luxury hotels in 50 countries, announces five new additions to its executive development team including: David Eskander , regional vice president of hotel development for the Americas; Pablo Alcacer, senior director of hotel development, EMEA; Abelardo (Piro) Hernández, senior director of hotel development for Latin America; Olav Glorvigen, director of hotel development; and Hatta Teo, senior manager of hotel development for Asia Pacific. These new additions are produced in response to growing customer demand for more hotels in these specific regions.
"We look forward to significantly strengthening our global presence with these well-known talents who have proven track records working with independent hotels in leading luxury brands," said Josh Lesnick, president and CEO of Associated Luxury Hotels, the parent company of WorldHotels. "These industry leaders are committed to our mission of empowering independent hotels and will play a key role in the overall development of our company."
All executives will report to Tom Santora, commercial director of Associated Luxury Hotels and CEO of WorldHotels.
"Previously, the WorldHotels development team reported to regional directors," Santora said. "By consolidating the entire development into a single division, it allows the team to strategically focus on hotels and hotel groups that we know will benefit from our revenue-generating and sales-deployment efforts. As a team, we must make sure we have the right inventory and quality to succeed. "

David Eskander, Regional Vice President of Hotel Development for the Americas-New York Office
As regional vice president of hotel development for WorldHotels, Eskander will be responsible for the company's development efforts for the Americas. Its main focus will be the strategic repositioning of the company's Americas portfolio, including the development of the company's new level of luxury.
Eskander is a former graduate of Leading Hotels of the World, having oversaw the company's global development for the past three years. During his tenure there, he successfully orchestrated the global expansion of the company's portfolio, winning more than 60 hotels in six new countries.
Eskander holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Hotel Management at Cornell University.

Abelardo (Piro) Hernandez, senior director of hotel development. Latin America- Office, Miami
Piro will bring his extensive experience in his role as senior director of development for Latin America, with more than three decades of industry knowledge. In this new position, he will be responsible for overseeing efforts to increase the portfolio of qualified hotels at WorldHotels in Latin America.
During his career in the hotel industry, Hernández worked for Preferred Hotel Group for nine years, serving as regional marketing manager for Latin America before being promoted to regional director for Latin America, representing the company's luxury brands.
Piro holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Hotel Management at Florida International University.
