Argentina is promoted in Brazil
The South American destination will be present at the 30th edition of the Gramado Tourism Festival
The Argentine Republic, through the National Institute of Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), will be present at the 30th edition of the Gramado Tourism Festival, from November 8 to 11, 2018, with the aim of solidifying the good level of arrivals of Brazilian tourists to our country.
This festival is one of the most important in the tourist field in the south of the neighboring country. In this opportunity, the fair will be divided into the following spaces: LGBT, Luxury, FESTURIS Gastronomy, Cultural and Religious, Entertainment, Innovation and Technology, Corporate MICE, Business, Sustainability and Green Tourism, and Training Rooms.
In total, there will be more than 400 stands for an estimated attendance in more than 10 thousand professionals of the sector. This marks the transcendence of the event and the great scope that the presentation of the Argentine offer can charge.
This type of actions become fundamental to continue the full growth shown by the Brazilian tourist arrivals to our territory. In the first eight months of 2018 there were more than 845 thousand arrivals of travelers from Brazil, 5.1 percent more than in the same period of 2017. In addition, last year it closed with 1,246,304 arrivals, 15 percent more than in 2016.
In terms of connectivity, important advances have also been made in southern Brazil. This year, since April, Aerolíneas Argentina went from having 7 to 14 weekly frequencies between Porto Alegre and Buenos Aires. In addition, as of July, the Azul company opened its flights from the capital of Rio Grande Do Sul to Córdoba (4 frequencies) and Rosario (3 frequencies).
INPROTUR, which will participate for the first time in the appointment space with luxury tourism agencies in southern Brazil, will attend Gramado together with the El Calafate Mixed Promotion Agency, the Secretary of Tourism of San Martin de los Andes, Neuquentur, the Secretary of Tourism of Villa La Angostura, Cerro Chapelco, the Tourist Entity of the City of Buenos Aires, the Ministry of Tourism of Formosa, the Secretary of Tourism of Ushuaia, the Ente Mendoza Turismo and Aerolineas Argentinas. In addition, different companies from the private sector convened by the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT) will be presented.
