From September 28 to 30, 2025, Rome will be the epicenter of global tourism with the 25th edition of the WTTC Global Summit, organized in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, ENIT, the Municipality of Rome, and the Lazio Region. The meeting will take place at the iconic Auditorium Parco della Musica, a cultural and strategic venue for the sector's leading executives and authorities.
Confirmed participants include influential figures such as Manfredi Lefebvre, Chair-Elect of the WTTC; Andrea Grisdale, CEO and founder of IC Bellagio; Massimo Caputi, President of Terme & Spa Italia; Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale Spa; and Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises. They will be joined by leaders such as Alessandra Necci (director and writer, Estense Galleries), Elisabetta Fabri (President and CEO of Starhotels Group), Gabriele Burgio (CEO of Alpitour World), Luca Cordero di Montezemolo (Executive Chairman of Italo), and Nerio Alessandri (founder and CEO of Technogym).
The summit will address the industry's major challenges and opportunities, reinforcing the role of tourism as a driver of economic development, a generator of employment, and a promoter of cultural ties. According to WTTC data, Italy is headed for a record year: international visitor spending will reach €60.4 billion, the sector will support more than 3.2 million jobs, and contribute approximately €237.4 billion to the national economy.
With an agenda focused on sustainability, digitalization, and investment, the WTTC Global Summit 2025 seeks to mark a turning point in the way destinations and businesses prepare for the future of tourism.
