The National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR – Visit Argentina) carried out a new commercial and positioning campaign in three strategic Brazilian cities: Porto Alegre, Salvador de Bahía, and Curitiba, on August 26, 27, and 28.
The Visit Argentina Workshops, designed for networking, training, tourism promotion, and marketing, were a meeting point for the national delegation with Brazilian tour operators, travel agencies, and media outlets. Participating on behalf of Argentina were Aymara Viajes, Estuario del Plata, and Criollos Turismo, along with the airlines Aerolíneas Argentinas and GOL.
Aerolíneas Argentinas' promotional fares were presented in each city, strengthening air connectivity and generating greater marketing opportunities. Argentina's latest positioning campaigns were also showcased, featuring key concepts for selling the destination. A training program was also launched on new features, attractions, and experiences focused on the spring-summer season.
These activities contribute to strengthening commercial ties with the trade and boosting Argentina's image as a safe, uniquely diverse country for all types of travelers.
An irresistible promotion for Brazilians
A key moment of the action was during the presentation of Aerolíneas Argentinas' promotional fares for the Brazilian market, which was presented by Iván Blanco Cadahia, commercial manager of Aerolíneas Argentinas in the neighboring country.
The airline's promotion extension generated a lot of enthusiasm among industry professionals, as it offers flights from major Brazilian cities to Buenos Aires with special offers for sale until September 30, 2025:
São Paulo: from USD 160
Rio de Janeiro: from USD 200
Porto Alegre: from USD 150
Curitiba: from USD 150
Salvador de Bahía: from USD 280
Porto Seguro: from USD 280
Additionally, there is the possibility of adding a second destination within Argentina from USD 50 or USD 100. In this way, travelers can enjoy the port city and then extend their experience to the vineyards of Mendoza, the adventure in Patagonia or a cultural and scenic tour in the Northwest, experiencing different facets of the country in a single trip.
It should be noted that fees and taxes must be added to the fares, and that travel can be booked until November 20, 2025 (no later than November 30).
Wine Tourism: Diversifying Argentina's Offerings
Within this framework, the INPROTUR team took the opportunity to present the new wine tourism landing page, which centralizes all the offerings and experiences linked to this segment in Argentina. From hikes or bike rides through vineyards to accommodations in wineries, sunsets, picnics, wellness activities, art, and celebrations such as weddings, travelers can plan a customized tour and experience wine tourism in all its dimensions.
The platform offers detailed information on routes, services, and experiences, allowing visitors to discover the flavors, landscapes, and traditions of the country's main wine-producing regions.
More benefits for international tourists.
As part of its inbound tourism incentive policies, Argentina offers more incentives for international travelers who choose the country as a destination. This, which was also included in the presentations, is reflected in the fact that foreign tourists can access two high-impact benefits:
Automatic 21% VAT discount on accommodations.
Tax-free refund on purchases of domestic products.
These measures seek to make stays more affordable for tourists, strengthening the destination's competitiveness and promoting consumption in local businesses and services.
With airline promotions, tax benefits, and a diverse tourism offering, Argentina reaffirms Brazil's position as a strategic partner and positions itself as a leading destination in the region.
