In what context is the city being promoted at this ICCA meeting?

Visit Buenos Aires has been a member of ICCA for several years and has consistently held first place in its ranking for 14 consecutive years. This participation reinforces the commitment to promoting international events as a key pillar of local development.

What's the status of the MICE segment in the city, beyond the figures?

During 2024, 90 ICCA-rated events were held, demonstrating the city's qualitative capacity. Beyond the numbers, the strength of the congresses organized, the diversity of sectors, and Buenos Aires' global recognition as a host of high-level events stand out.

What infrastructure capacity does the city offer?

The city has three convention centers: one emblematic one in Recoleta, with subway access and located in one of the city's most iconic areas; and two additional ones located in hotels. Together, they can efficiently host events for more than 10,000 people.

How does the promotional season continue after this event in Medellín?

The next major event will be at IMEX America in Las Vegas, where there will be a 1,000-square-foot booth and the presence of 35 private companies. They also recently participated in IBTM Americas in Mexico City, accompanied by nine local companies, thus strengthening public-private cooperation.

How aligned are you with the goals set at the start of the season?

All planned actions have been completed, and new initiatives have been added. Participation in key trade fairs, with the support of the private sector, bodes well for a very positive close to the year.

What are the plans for 2026?

Although still under definition, the goal is to maintain a presence at international fairs and deepen a sector promotion strategy. Priority will be given to aligning event attraction with the city's productive infrastructure. IEEE Convene, which brings together conference leaders, is a strategic forum that reflects this vision.

Why do you think the city maintains its leadership in the ICCA rankings?

The city offers a comprehensive offering: modern convention centers, excellent hotels, vibrant cultural and nightlife, and unique local experiences. Its scientific and medical community contributes to high-level conferences; more than 1,000 events are held annually. And connectivity is very solid, with direct flights from nearly 30 cities—including a new route from China—which expands its reach as a Latin American alternative compared to other options such as the United States.
