Since September, passengers on Insignia by Avianca, the airline's Business Class experience on flights between Bogotá and European destinations—London, Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona—can enjoy Home Burgers & Shakes hamburgers on board at any time during the flight, up to an hour and a half before landing.
“Insignia by Avianca offers more options in Business Class to Europe: we are proud to introduce a premium burger onboard in collaboration with Home, made with the finest products, bringing great local talent to more countries around the world. This partnership reflects our constant intention to innovate and provide memorable experiences that surprise our passengers with unique flavors at 36,000 feet,” said Katherine Stradaioli, Vice President of Customer Delivery at Avianca.
“Home's inclusion in the Insignia by Avianca menu represents a commitment to bringing that feeling of freshness and enjoyment to the flight experience, allowing business class passengers to experience a different moment, closer to everyday life,” said Pablo Vélez, one of the founders of Home Burgers & Shakes.
In addition, Insignia by Avianca continues to offer the best of local cuisine, with a menu created by Álvaro Clavijo, chef of El Chato restaurant in Bogotá and recognized by The World's 50 Best Restaurants list. This collaboration has been joined since September by Manuel Mendoza, chef of Manuel Cocina, located in Barranquilla and selected by Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants, and Cocina 33, with locations in Medellín and Montería.
“The Insignia by Avianca menu continues to evolve, and it is a great honor to welcome Manuel Mendoza to elevate the flavors of Colombia as part of this premium experience,” commented Álvaro Clavijo. Manuel Mendoza, for his part, described this collaboration as an “opportunity to take advantage of the sky as a showcase for a gastronomic exploration in which tradition and creativity come together.”
The Insignia by Avianca experience is available on flights to and from Europe and includes access to 180° recline flatbed seats, a Mola Sasa amenity kit, designed in collaboration with women from the Gunadule community, featuring Loto del Sur products. In addition to the menu, it includes a welcome drink, unlimited snacks, a wine selection, entertainment on integrated screens, and preferential service with lounge access, additional baggage, and priority boarding, among other benefits.
