From September 1 to 8, 2025, Ecuador will showcase its gastronomy with a series of activities in The Hague, coordinated by the National Embassy in the Netherlands, in collaboration with the Ecuadorian Trade Office (PRO ECUADOR), and with the support of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Air Europa, Leonardo Royal Hotel, Diplomat Magazine, among others.

“Ecuador Week 2025” kicked off with a celebration of Ecuadorian National Day pride at an event held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel. The menu was developed by Ecuadorian chefs David Reyes and Emilio Dalmau, in collaboration with the hotel's chef. The menu featured a selection of dishes such as shrimp jipijapa ceviche, mini pork sandwiches with tree tomato chili, Esmeraldan fish encocado, goat seco, wild mushroom uchumnka, yuca, and macambo, to name a few.

In addition, national promotion aimed at the general public came through the "Ecuadorian Food Festival 2025" with specialties featuring Ecuadorian products such as crab ceviche with avocado, chifles, and salprieta; heart of palm ceviche; yuca croquettes; and sweet delicacies like Choco D'Or made with Ecuadorian cacao.

On Saturday, another event open to the public will take place, called "Embassy Festival 2025," in which all embassies accredited to the Netherlands will promote their countries as destinations. Ecuador will be present with its cuisine and the presentation of the wonders it offers its visitors.
