Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic — September 15, 2025. Arajet, the Dominican Republic's flagship airline, celebrated its third anniversary by reaffirming its mission to consolidate the Dominican Republic as the new air hub of the Americas. With more than 1.5 million passengers transported in 2025—of which more than 200,000 were connecting—the company is making progress toward its goal of efficiently connecting North, Central, and South America with the Caribbean through Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.

During a breakfast with media directors, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, emphasized that "we were founded with a clear mission: to democratize the skies of the Americas so that more people can travel more often and better connected, with a simple, safe, and punctual experience." He added that, three years later, the airline is strengthening its network and its competitive hub model for the region.

As part of the anniversary milestones, the company received its 12th aircraft, named "La Caleta," and confirmed it will add another aircraft before the end of the year. By 2026, the fleet will reach 19 aircraft. Manuel Luna, Chief Communications and External Affairs Officer at Arajet, also highlighted the impact on markets such as Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Argentina, where they will end 2025 with 20 weekly flights.

The company announced new routes to Orlando, Chicago, and Boston, launching between October and November, along with Córdoba, Argentina, starting in December. These operations will strengthen regional connectivity and respond to seasonal demand with increased frequency on key routes.

Arajet works alongside authorities and strategic partners to consolidate the Dominican Republic as a hemispheric air hub, contributing to the local economy with more than 700 direct jobs—with more than 50% of them women in leadership positions—pilot and technical training programs, and cultural, sports, and tourism initiatives.

“The third anniversary is a new starting point to continue connecting dreams, opportunities, and destinations with Dominican pride,” concluded Pacheco Méndez.
