The recovery of tourism in China is progressing at an accelerated pace. According to the China Tourism Academy, in 2024, citizens made 146 million trips abroad and the country received 131 million international visitors , a year-on-year growth of 60.8%. In this context, the launch of a new international event was announced: COITM – China Outbound & Inbound Travel Market , which will be held in Beijing from 14 to 16 October 2026 at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center (New Hall, Hall 11) , under the theme “Reinvigorating China Outbound, Revitalising China Inbound” .
Supported by China Tourism Academy , U-tour Group , HCG Travel Group , and numerous international organizations, COITM is presented as an annual B2B cooperation platform aimed at:

Promote Chinese destinations and services to the international market.
The event is expected to feature 300 exhibitors and 4,000 professionals from more than 50 countries, including tourism agencies, embassies, consulates, DMCs, airlines, hotel chains, ground service providers, digital platforms, and Chinese destinations.
The event will feature:
Pre-scheduled meetings for highly efficient negotiations.
Integrated marketing solutions , from social media to roadshows.
Thematic forums on outbound and inbound tourism, technology, and investment opportunities.
“COITM will be a meeting point for exhibitors and buyers to break down business boundaries, strengthen strategic alliances, and energize the global tourism ecosystem,” said Ma , vice president of the China Tourism Academy.
The project also has the support of international institutions such as the Russian National Tourism Development Center , the Tunisian National Tourist Board , and the Belarusian National Tourist Board , reflecting global confidence in China's recovery.
For Qing Qinghui , founder of COITM, the event is more than a trade show: “Our goal is to create opportunities for mutual cooperation, promote sustainability, and support the transformation of tourism toward greater diversity, personalization, and innovation.”
