Palma de Mallorca / Madrid. HBX Group, a global leader in B2B travel technology, and Queer Destinations, an international benchmark in LGBTQ+ tourism, have signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on promoting inclusive and sustainable tourism globally.
This agreement reflects both organizations' shared commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the travel industry, while empowering destinations, hotels, and service providers to create safe and welcoming environments for LGBTQ+ travelers.
The global LGBTQ+ travel segment is valued at over $4.7 trillion annually. According to Credit Suisse, if it were a country, it would represent the fourth-largest economy in the world. Harnessing this potential, the partnership between HBX Group and Queer Destinations seeks to transform the way tourism embraces diversity and inclusion.
A strategic alliance. As part of the collaboration:
As part of this agreement, HBX Group will implement Queer Destinations Committed standards across the corporation to achieve the distinction, designed to educate all employees on LGBTQ+ inclusion.
For its part, Queer Destinations will work with HBX Group to engage its strategic partners, integrate inclusive booking tools, and increase the visibility of those businesses that meet Queer Destinations Committed standards.
Both parties will coordinate a joint communications strategy to promote this strategic alliance, with the goal of generating a genuine transformation in the way the tourism sector understands diversity and inclusion, and of offering a new level of safety and excellence to the queer community worldwide.
