Quito proudly celebrates the tourism industry

This year, the capital will offer cultural, experiential, and appreciation activities for both visitors and residents, highlighting the value that tourism plays in the city's economic, social, and cultural development.

Welcome to international visitors

On that day, Mariscal Sucre International Airport will host a warm welcome for those arriving on international flights. Passengers will be greeted with the music of the traditional Municipal Band, in a festive atmosphere that reflects Quito's welcoming spirit. They will also be able to take a photo in a themed space featuring an iconic representation of the city: the Virgin of Panecillo, one of the capital's most representative symbols.

Surprises for citizens

At three strategic points throughout the city, special souvenirs will be handed out to passersby as a way of thanking them for being an active part of Quito and fostering a sense of belonging. These activities aim to make all citizens feel part of the celebration and the tourism engine that drives the local economy.

Quito Coffee Expo 2025

Time: From 10:00 to 18:00

Location: Plaza Quinde, La Mariscal sector

Coffee is part of our identity, and that's why the "Expo Café de Quito 2025" event will be held. This event promotes Quito Coffee as a symbol of Quito pride and a product of international quality from the Andean Chocó region. This space will serve to foster commercial relationships between producers, manufacturers, and buyers, in addition to offering citizens an enriching experience with contests, talks, tastings, live music, and much more.

The event is free and open to the public, and aims to revitalize the La Mariscal area and promote its economic and cultural revitalization.

Recognition of tourism leaders

Tourism is one of the strategic pillars of municipal management, and therefore a special event will be held to recognize individuals and organizations whose work makes Quito a national and international tourist destination. This tribute seeks to highlight their efforts and commitment to the city.

During the month, several tourist activities will be offered with a focus on sustainable mobility and urban experiences, so that citizens and visitors can rediscover Quito from a new perspective.
