Buenos Aires, September 24, 2025 – MSC Cruises announced an ambitious upgrade plan for MSC Poesia, which will include the introduction of the award-winning MSC Yacht Club concept, two specialty restaurants, a sports bar, a renovated MSC Aurea Spa, and an upgraded gym with Technogym® equipment. This is one of the most significant modernizations in the company's history and will be ready for the line's first season in Alaska in 2026.
With this refurbishment, guests will have the opportunity to explore Alaska's breathtaking beauty for the first time aboard MSC Poesia. Itineraries will visit Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, and Juneau in Alaska, as well as Victoria in British Columbia. Each port will offer unique experiences, from local cuisine to wilderness excursions, kayaking, and wildlife viewing in spectacular scenery.
The MSC Yacht Club will be the ship's newest addition, offering a luxury all-inclusive experience that combines exclusivity and privacy. The area will feature 63 suites across five different categories, including options with sea balconies and connecting rooms ideal for families. Highlights include the Royal Suite, with capacity for six people, a 78 m² terrace, a private whirlpool, and an outdoor shower; and the two-bedroom Grand Suite, offering an intimate atmosphere and panoramic views. All suites have been designed with luxurious details, marble bathrooms, exclusive amenities, custom-embroidered towels, Nespresso coffee machines, and a complimentary minibar, as well as 24-hour room service.
MSC Yacht Club guests will also enjoy a private restaurant with refined cuisine and sommelier service, a bow-facing Top Sail Lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows and live music, as well as a sundeck with cabanas, two whirlpools, and a Grill & Bar for relaxing in a modern and elegant setting.
The ship's dining offering will expand with the opening of Butcher's Cut, an American-style steakhouse featuring premium cuts from Meat by Linz and classic sides, and the reinvention of Kaito Sushi Bar, bringing a fresh feel to this Asian-inspired space with freshly made sushi and authentic dishes from the Far East.
Another attraction will be the new All-Stars Sports Bar, which will recreate the atmosphere of game day, with screens for live sporting events, bar games, tasty bites, and a vibrant atmosphere ideal for gatherings with friends.
For wellness, the MSC Aurea Spa will be transformed into a true haven of relaxation, featuring an ocean-view sauna, steam rooms, a salt room, sensory showers, and a tranquil relaxation area accompanied by freshly brewed teas. The fitness center, powered by Technogym®, will offer state-of-the-art equipment and workout spaces overlooking the ocean, as well as a yoga studio, jogging track, and sports courts.
