The 29th edition of the Latin American International Tourism Fair (FIT) kicked off with a historic event: for the first time in almost three decades, a President of the Nation led the opening ceremony, accompanied by national authorities, industry leaders, and the Secretary-General-elect of UN Tourism, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais. This gesture marked a milestone in the relationship between tourism and the institutional agenda, reinforcing the international relevance of the event.

The impact was immediate: the first day brought together more than 62,000 visitors, 8% more than in 2024. Over the weekend, FIT surpassed 130,000 attendees, representing a 13% increase compared to the previous edition and once again consolidating the fair as the most important tourism event in Latin America.

Among the most notable attractions were:

FEMTUR, the forum for women leaders in tourism, brought together national and international voices to discuss the future of the sector.

The traditional Fashion and Travel, which once again united fashion and tourism in an innovative parade.

Spaces like FIT Food and FIT Outdoor – Elegí Argentina, which offered gastronomic, cultural, and outdoor activities.

Technological and immersive proposals that amazed both adults and children, bringing destinations closer through interactive experiences.

The fair featured more than 1,700 national and international exhibitors, who filled the La Rural pavilions with color, music, and culture. Each destination showcased the best of its identity, cuisine, and tourist attractions, creating a unique experience for professionals and the general public.

The weekend's closing act was marked by the energy of the live shows, with a packed auditorium enjoying the performance by Chaqueño Palavecino, which capped off a packed day.

“FIT continues to demonstrate why it is one of the most important meeting points in the world. We see not only growth in the number of visitors, but also in the diversity of offerings. FIT is the ideal space to connect industry professionals with the traveling public, promoting tourism as a driver of economic, cultural, and social development,” emphasized Andrés Deyá, president of FIT and FAEVYT.

With this new record of participation and a symbolic start, FIT 2025 reaffirms its leadership as a major showcase for tourism in Latin America and a meeting point for the industry globally.
