Civitatis, the world's leading online platform for guided tours, activities, and excursions in Spanish, continues to grow exponentially in Argentina, consolidating its presence nationally and regionally through a strong commitment to this market.
So far in 2025, the Spanish company has doubled its number of Argentine users and increased its sales by more than 100% compared to the same period last year.
Today, more than two million travelers from this country have booked one of the 95,000 experiences offered by the platform in 4,000 destinations across 160 countries, consolidating its position as the second-highest-demand market in the world, behind only Spain.
"We are far exceeding the growth expectations we had for this year, and at this pace, everything indicates that in 2026 we will be able to continue on the same path and maintain these positive results," commented Alberto Gutiérrez, CEO and founder of the company, which once again participated with a stand at the 2025 International Tourism Fair.
According to data from the multinational company, in 2024, some 520,000 Argentines booked experiences through the platform, while so far in 2025, the number has already exceeded 700,000, with the expectation of reaching one million users before the end of the year.
"These achievements reflect the tremendous local and regional work we've been doing alongside a team that grows year after year and is currently made up of fifteen people focused on enhancing our value proposition and ensuring that more and more Argentines can enjoy the quality experiences Civitatis offers to fill their trips around the world," said Nicolás Posse, Country Manager for Argentina and Head of Business Development for Chile and Uruguay.
"Civitatis' goal is to continue strengthening our presence in Argentina and the region, both through the direct customer channel and through travel agencies and tour operators, who are our main strategic partners. In addition, we continue to forge new agreements with other travel companies such as airlines, mileage programs, and transportation companies, among other sectors of the industry, to reach more travelers in the region with our offering," Posse reflected.
Civitatis already works with more than 3,000 travel agencies and has signed agreements with companies such as Flybondi, Smiles, and Plataforma10, among others, to expand its travel community.
On the other hand, the company is also making progress in incorporating more tourist experiences in Argentine destinations into the platform. To this end, it is working on establishing links with official tourism agencies and local providers in each city and/or municipality to add quality experiences to its range of activities from around the world.
"This initiative not only expands our portfolio but also helps to boost regional economies and the tourism offerings of each destination through a global community of more than 40 million travelers, who in turn contribute more than 4 million reviews on our website to rate activities based on their own experiences," Posse emphasized.
Thanks to this initiative, Civitatis now offers more than 1,600 activities in 80 national destinations, with 9/10 positive reviews.
Profile of the Argentine traveler
"Argentine travelers like to plan their itineraries in advance. They're curious, they look for activities tailored to their needs, and they value the transparency and convenience of our platform, where they find authentic, high-quality experiences, reviewed by other users, that match their interests," Posse emphasized.
The most popular destinations this year among Argentinians through Civitatis were, in order: Rome, Paris, Madrid, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Punta Cana, London, Lisbon, and Egypt.
