Bogotá — El Dorado Airport, with the support of Avianca, presents the exhibition “Colombia Dorada: A Visual Tour of the Colombia You Don't Know Yet,” as a tribute to the country's richness and part of the activities commemorating the airport's 65th anniversary. Inspired by the legend of El Dorado, the exhibition brings together 60 immersive photographs that highlight the country's biodiversity and landscapes as a unique treasure.

The cultural space is located in a hanging format in Terminal 1, in front of the information desk between gates 5 and 6 on floors 1 and 2, so travelers can be inspired and take home a memorable souvenir.

The photographs by artist Roberto Lombana measure 145 centimeters in diameter and are printed using augmented reality on gilded MDF with resin, evoking pure gold. The exhibition also includes detailed descriptions and QR codes that allow you to delve deeper into the history of each image, generating a sensorial connection with the destinations depicted.

For OPAIN, the airport operator, this initiative is a tribute to Colombia and the richness of its territory:

"At El Dorado, we're committed to bringing art and culture to the more than 46 million travelers who pass through our airport each year. We want locals and visitors alike to discover the authentic Colombia that fills us with pride and to take a piece of it with them in their hearts."

The artist Roberto Lombana defined his images as "visual poems," capable of transporting the observer with aerial perspectives and details that span moors, jungles, and oceans.

For her part, María Carolina Cortés, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Reputation at Avianca, said:

"We are committed to Colombia and connecting its four corners, driving the development of its regions and its people. We are proud to be part of an initiative that reflects the richness and diversity of the territories at the heart of our operation in El Dorado."

The exhibition invites you to visit destinations such as the Guatavita Lagoon (Cundinamarca), the Rocks of the Orinoco River (Vichada), the Mavecure Hill on the Inírida River (Guainía), the Tatacoa Desert (Huila), the mangroves of Utría (Chocó), the Paradise Flower in Barichara (Santander) and the Cock-of-the-Rock in Jardín (Antioquia), among others.

With this project, El Dorado International Airport and Avianca reaffirm their commitment to offering high-quality experiences to visitors and travelers, positioning Colombia as a unique destination and a strategic hub where art is a vehicle for social, educational, and cultural transformation.
