With an impressive 178-square-meter stand inspired by Peruvian archaeological sites, PROMPERÚ, the state-run tourism promotion agency, shone at FIT 2025, showcasing new tourism offerings such as a women's trip, cycling tours amid Andean landscapes, and the Papal Route, which includes iconic Peruvian sites where the Pope left his mark during his missionary work in Peru.

During the four-day fair, an intense activity focused on Peru's incredible tourism experiences of nature, adventure, vibrant culture, and gastronomy. Attendees were able to explore different destinations using virtual reality headsets that immersed them in the majesty of Peru's landscapes.

In addition, there were tastings of coffee, pisco, and dishes such as ceviche, Amazonian chaufa, and pork rind bread, as well as performances of traditional dances and the vibrant Peruvian cajón.

The Peruvian ambassador to Argentina, Carlos Chocano Burga, and PROMPERÚ's economic and commercial advisor in Argentina, Silvia Seperack, were present at the stand opening, along with 15 co-exhibiting companies participating in the initiative. Thirteen Peruvian regions were presented, and the most important events on Peru's tourism agenda were announced: Perú MICExperience, the Copa Libertadores Final in Lima, and Perú, Mucho Gusto Lima, the country's most important gastronomic fair, which will take place from October 30 to November 2.

Throughout the event, representatives from PROMPERÚ and the co-exhibiting companies held more than 80 business meetings.

Another notable activity at the stand was the talk given by digital innovation specialist Joan Cwaik, which captured the attention of tourism professionals. During the talk, a raffle was held for two round-trip flights on Flybondi's new Iguazú-Lima route, also presented during the fair. Peru also participated in the Travel Forum, having been the main sponsor (along with Neuquén) of this year's travel sale with 13 promotional packages.

Argentina is an extremely attractive market for inbound tourism from Peru. Currently, our country ranks eighth among international tourists to Peru, and sixth in Latin America. Between January and August of this year, 91,200 Argentines traveled to that destination.

Both countries are served by several airlines: Aerolíneas Argentinas, JetSmart, Latam, and Sky Airlines, with 75 weekly flights. There are flights to Peru from six airports: Buenos Aires (EZE), Buenos Aires (AEP), Córdoba (COR), Mendoza (MDZ), Rosario (ROS), and Salta (SLA). Starting in December, a direct flight will be added from Tucumán to Lima, and from Iguazú to the Peruvian capital.
