Product and service innovation.
Part of the investment is aimed at strengthening INSIGNIA by Avianca in Europe and expanding Business Class to more than 80 routes in the Americas. Additionally, new VIP lounges will be opened and a priority check-in service will be implemented for LifeMiles members, reinforcing the value proposition focused on comfort and personalization.
“This investment of more than USD 800 million demonstrates our unwavering commitment to our customers and to Colombia. Our model works by offering competitive options and an expanding premium experience. Therefore, we are actively investing in more aircraft, an unprecedented route network, and, crucially, in the quality of the travel experience,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
Boosting business units
The investment also covers the group's strategic business units.
LifeMiles, with more than 14 million members, will strengthen its benefits program, add new lounges, and continue to improve the traveler experience beyond the flight.
Avianca Cargo, a regional leader in air freight transport, will expand its fleet of A330F aircraft and increase flight frequencies, improving operational capacity and cargo connectivity in the Americas and Europe.
Avianca is part of the Abra Group, along with Gol and Wamos, which together operate a fleet of 300 aircraft. The integration and expansion of their businesses reinforces Avianca's position as one of the continent's most solid and visionary airlines, committed to continuing to evolve to offer its passengers more options, more destinations, and an ever-enhancing experience.
