São Paulo, October 2025 – WTM Latin America confirmed the holding of the first WTM Latin America Ministers' Summit, a meeting designed to bring together Ministers of Tourism and ministerial representatives from across Latin America to promote a strategic dialogue on the future of regional tourism.
The first edition will be held under the theme " Latin American Tourism: Responsible and Regenerative for the Future ," seeking to build a collaborative agenda that promotes sustainable practices and generates positive economic, social, and environmental impacts in the region's destinations. According to Bianca Pizzolito, head of WTM Latin America, "we personally delivered the invitations during FIT in Argentina to reinforce the relevance of this agenda and the commitment to more responsible and regenerative tourism."
The Ministers' Summit will take place on April 14, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, as part of the official program of WTM Latin America 2026, which will run from April 14 to 16. The initiative follows the tradition of similar meetings organized by WTM in London and Dubai, now adapted to the Latin American context to foster regional collaboration on tourism policies.
