Minas Gerais' participation in IMEX Las Vegas 2025, one of the world's most important tourism and events fairs, consolidated the state's position on the international stage and opened up new strategic promotional opportunities for the coming years. The event brought together more than 17,000 participants, including 4,700 hosted buyers and 3,700 exhibitors from over 100 countries, with over 90,000 business meetings scheduled.

During the fair, the Secretary of State for Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais, Bárbara Botega, and the Superintendent of Tourism Marketing, Thiago Ferreira, held a series of meetings focused on promoting Minas Gerais as a destination for 2025 and 2026.

The meetings included meetings with exhibitors from Chile, in preparation for the business development that will take place in Santiago in November 2025, and conversations with representatives from Peru, with the goal of attracting new flights to the state and positioning Minas Gerais cuisine as a competitive advantage.

“IMEX was a decisive opportunity to showcase Minas Gerais' tourism potential to new markets and strengthen our presence with strategic partners in the Americas and Europe. We're leaving with a solid work agenda for 2025 and 2026, which includes integrated promotional efforts, attracting flights, and promoting Minas Gerais cuisine, one of the greatest symbols of our cultural identity,” emphasized Bárbara Botega.

The participation also strengthened ties with Portugal, in view of Minas Gerais' strategic presence at BTL Lisboa 2026, the Iberian Peninsula's leading tourism fair. This continued promotional efforts consolidate the state's international position as a leading destination for culture, gastronomy, nature, and wellness.
