The City of Buenos Aires hosted a conference called "The New Era of Hospitality: Digitalizing Management with Cutting-Edge Technology." This event contributes to the digital transformation of hotels and hostels in Buenos Aires, providing concrete tools to stakeholders in the tourism ecosystem to improve the guest experience.
The meeting, which aimed to consolidate Buenos Aires as a leading hotel destination, was led by technology specialists who discussed topics such as the implementation of virtual assistants and digital payments in the sector, among others.
"These events are an opportunity to enhance the experience of our visitors throughout the year. At the end of this event, we will have more and better tools to continue promoting our offerings and consolidating tourism as a key driver of our city's economic development," said Valentín Díaz Gilligan, president of the Buenos Aires City Tourism Board.
Keynote speakers included Eduardo Ponce, CEO of Nodo58; Nicolás “Tato” Germen, director of Nomads in BA; Gonzalo Revilla Cornejo, a lawyer specializing in tokens and blockchain; Santiago Esmoris, co-founder of WeSpeak; Matías Jerbic, commercial director of TravelBot; Matías Gorganchian, co-founder of kamiPay; and Candela Fazzano, ecosystem leader of the Ethereum Foundation.
It's worth remembering that this is the fourth meeting in the series of talks aimed at developing the Smart Tourism Destination (SDT) model, based on the exchange of experiences from the private sector on topics such as governance, sustainability, accessibility, and technological innovation.
The hotel sector accounts for more than 10% of the jobs generated by tourism in the city. That's why these meetings provide innovative tools that streamline processes and also improve the visitor experience in the city.
The city of Buenos Aires is a constantly evolving destination that, with a wide cultural and culinary offering, offers innovative experiences and services year-round that integrate the latest technologies to enhance tourists' stays.
