Barbados retains its title as the Caribbean's Leading Wedding Destination
The Caribbean island was recognized for the second consecutive year at the World Travel Awards, reaffirming its position as the perfect setting to celebrate love and destination weddings
Barbados shines once again on the world map of romantic tourism after being named "Caribbean's Leading Wedding Destination" by the World Travel Awards (WTA). The recognition, given during the Caribbean and North America Gala Ceremony held on October 4 at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, cements the island's position as one of the world's most iconic locations for wedding celebrations.
Cheryl Carter, Chief Operating Officer of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI), expressed her pride in this achievement, which highlights the island's commitment to excellence in the wedding industry:
“Barbados is deeply honored to receive this prestigious recognition. This award is a testament to the pride with which our nation welcomes couples who choose to start their lives together on our island,” Carter said.
