Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa, the heart of the Mexican Caribbean, is renewing itself to continue inspiring travelers
Dreams Sands Cancun Sales Director Taryn Aguilar shared her excitement about welcoming the press delegation and Hyatt Inclusive Collection officials to the property. Speaking with Travel2Latam, she discussed the hotel's essence, its renovation, and expectations for the upcoming high season
What are your feelings and expectations about welcoming the invited press group to Dreams Sands Cancún?
Well, from the outset, we feel very grateful and honored to welcome you. Expectations are high: we are the most important tourist destination in Mexico, the most important in the Caribbean, and we want this visit to be a window that allows us to showcase everything we have to offer.
What details can you give us about this magnificent property?
Dreams Sands Cancun is located in the heart of the hotel zone, at kilometer 8.5, literally in the middle of everything. I always say, colloquially, that when someone Googles "Cancún," this is what they find. Our ocean and our beach are the perfect postcard of the destination. We have the advantage that, upon arrival, our guests get out of the car and immediately see the turquoise sea that defines Cancún.
We are a 414-room property, part of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection. It's a family-friendly hotel with a wide variety of restaurants and room types, but above all, with the service that characterizes Mexico.
The hotel was recently renovated, right?
That's right, a couple of years ago we completed a complete renovation. We updated the restaurants, rooms, and all common areas to meet our guests' expectations.
What do you expect for the next high season, which begins in November?
We want to be ready to welcome tourists from all over the world. We are fortunate that our visitors come from different countries, and our goal is to continue showcasing the service, culture, and everything Mexico has to offer. It has been a very positive year, and we hope to close with the same energy, kicking off an excellent winter season.
If you were a guest, what would your perfect day at Dreams Sands Cancun be like?
I would definitely spend it at the beach. I love enjoying the ocean as much as possible, then getting ready for a good dinner and savoring Mexican cuisine, which is a privilege. I would also make time to visit the spa; I wouldn't miss that.
