The 2025 edition of Cancún Travel Mart kicked off today at the Iberostar Selection Cancún, consolidating its position as one of the most important events for the development of tourism in the Mexican Caribbean. More than 496 delegates from 20 countries are participating in this platform, which seeks to strengthen commercial alliances and promote the destination globally.

During the opening ceremony, Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama highlighted the event's importance to the regional tourism industry, emphasizing the need for sustainable development that combines environmental protection with social well-being. She also highlighted Cancún's role as a gateway for fans from around the world during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, underscoring the opportunity this event represents to further boost tourism.

In parallel, the governor and Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, held meetings with business leaders and hoteliers to coordinate strategic actions aimed at strengthening tourism promotion in Quintana Roo, ensuring social well-being, and fostering economic development through tourism. It was also announced that the Cancún Travel Mart model will be replicated at the 2026 Mexico Tourism Fair, seeking to replicate its success in promoting the destination.

The event, which will run until October 24, offers a key space for international buyers and Mexican suppliers to share strategies, establish alliances, and consolidate the presence of Cancún and the Mexican Caribbean in the global market.
