Meliá strengthens its presence in the world's most exclusive destinations with a new Meliá Collection hotel in Argentine Patagonia
The hotel group has signed the acquisition of The Meliá Collection Terrazas del Gutiérrez, which will be located in Bariloche, in the heart of Nahuel Huapi National Park. With this project, the company strengthens its expansion into the luxury segment in Latin America
Palma de Mallorca, October 23, 2025 — Meliá Hotels International, the leading hotel group in Spain, announced the signing of a new luxury hotel, further strengthening its presence in key Latin American destinations while reinforcing its position in the premium segment. Under The Meliá Collection brand, the company will add an exclusive hotel in Argentine Patagonia.
The Meliá Collection Terrazas del Gutiérrez, located in Bariloche—one of the most iconic destinations in southern Argentina and the gateway to Patagonia—is projected to be one of the group's most exclusive properties. Surrounded by lakes and mountains, in the privileged setting of Nahuel Huapi National Park, it will offer a luxurious experience in harmony with nature.
The project will feature 99 rooms and 48 exclusive residences, a proposal that responds to the growing demand for residential properties that combine the comforts of home with luxury hospitality. It will also include an outstanding culinary offering, wellness spaces, and 500 m² dedicated to social and corporate events.
