The natural beauty, authentic flavors, and hospitality of Minas Gerais are on display at the 14th edition of the Brazil Travel Market (BTM), taking place on October 23rd and 24th in Fortaleza, Ceará. One of the most important events in the North and Northeast regions dedicated to promoting national tourism, the event brings together representatives from the Brazilian and international trade, as well as hosted buyers from various countries.

The Minas Gerais presence is part of the actions of the Minas Gerais Government, through the State Secretariat of Culture and Tourism (Secult-MG), with the support of Codemge, Sebrae Minas and Instituto Mundu, reinforcing the commitment to promoting the state's culture, gastronomy and tourist attractions.

"Being at BTM is a strategic opportunity for Minas Gerais to present itself as a complete destination, combining nature, culture, gastronomy, and an unparalleled welcome," emphasizes Bárbara Botega, Secretary of State for Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais. "We want to show Brazil and the world that Minas Gerais offers unique experiences in every corner of the state, the result of integrated work between the government, municipalities, the tourism industry, and local communities."

A stand that reflects the spirit of Minas Gerais

Inspired by the landscapes of the Espinhaço and Canastra Mountains, the Minas Gerais stand offers a sensorial experience that combines nature, culture, and gastronomy. Decorated in shades of teal and brown, the space incorporates wooden elements and common areas that evoke the warmth of traditional Minas Gerais homes.

Highlights include the Cozinha Show, featuring classes and demonstrations by renowned Minas Gerais chefs such as Manoela Lebron and Leo Gomes. The public can enjoy tastings of specialty coffees, cheeses, traditional sweets, drinks, and artisanal products—a true celebration of Minas Gerais cuisine.

Tourist destinations and routes

The stand will also give visibility to the main gastronomic circuits and routes in the state, such as the Velho Chico and Lago de Irapé Circuits, in addition to the municipalities of Aiuruoca and Camanducaia (Monte Verde).

Featured routes include the Cipó Route, the Agony Route, the Serro Cheese Route, and the Caparaó Mineiro Route, connecting visitors to nature, religion, and the hospitality of local communities. The Minas Gerais delegation also includes the Walking Tour del-Rei, Dayrell Hotel and Convention Center, and the Belo Horizonte Central Market.

Strategic partnership with Sebrae Minas

A key partner in the development and promotion of tourist destinations, Sebrae Minas works from planning and qualifying projects to marketing, strengthening small businesses and increasing visitor flow.

"The Cipó, Queijo da Região do Serro, Caminho da Agonia, and Caparaó Mineiro routes reflect the essence of Minas Gerais," says Marcelo de Souza e Silva, president of the Sebrae Minas Deliberative Council. "Through the Check-in Turismo program, we structure destinations and governance that enhance tourism potential and strengthen small businesses."

With a strong presence at BTM 2025, Minas Gerais reaffirms its position as one of the most authentic, welcoming and diverse destinations in Brazil.
