The Mexican Caribbean is consolidating with a renewed offer and great expectations towards 2026

What are your impressions of this new edition of Cancun Travel Mart?

We're very excited because there's great anticipation for what the Mexican Caribbean will present at this important fair for tour operators who come to do business and learn about the latest developments in our destinations. Having Cancún as the host city—an internationally recognized city and one of the best tourist destinations in the world—fills us with pride. It's an honor to support the efforts of the Hotel Association of Cancún, Puerto Morelos, and Islas Mujeres and to bring the entire state together in this major tourism event.

How would you rate what has happened this year and what are your expectations for next year?

It has been a year of immense challenges, but we are convinced that we will close it out with great results. 2025 represents the consolidation of the tourism offering in the Mexican Caribbean. Furthermore, 2026 generates enormous expectations: Mexico will be a guest country at FITUR and we will also host the World Cup. The gateway to the World Cup will be Cancún.

How is the destination preparing for infrastructure and new investments?

There is a tremendous effort by the federal, state, and municipal governments to improve infrastructure and invest increasingly in our travelers' experience. The state's hotel and tourism sector is undergoing a renewal: there are new hotels, projects, and more activities in the Mexican Caribbean. Tourists will undoubtedly enjoy a year full of great attractions in 2025, and a year full of surprises and a completely renewed offering in 2026.
