The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced the participating culinary teams for the highly anticipated 2025 edition of Taste of the Caribbean, taking place November 16-18 at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord's Castle All-Inclusive Resort.
Considered the Caribbean's premier culinary showcase, the event celebrates regional culinary diversity and promotes the professional development of food and beverage experts, offering opportunities for training, exchange, and exploration of new trends.
“Taste of the Caribbean continues to be a key platform for celebrating the creativity, talent, and innovation that define our region's gastronomy,” said Vanessa Ledesma, CHTA Executive Director. “Each year, this event cements the Caribbean's reputation as a world-class culinary destination and provides a valuable space for culinary professionals to connect and inspire one another.”
Teams participating in the 2025 edition
The competition will feature culinary teams representing Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados (current and five-time National Team winner), Belize, Bonaire, Curaçao, Grenada, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Contestants will compete in the categories of Senior Chef, Junior Chef, Pastry Chef, and Bartender, culminating in the Sabor del Caribe Awards Dinner, where recognition will be given to:
Caribbean Chef of the Year
Junior Chef of the Caribbean
Pastry Chef of the Caribbean
Caribbean Bartender
Caribbean National Team of the Year
The event will also include live demonstrations, tastings, and educational sessions with regional and international experts in culinary arts, sustainability, and hospitality management.
Taste of the Caribbean will run in parallel with the Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum (CHIEF), a key gathering for hotel industry leaders offering strategic insights, workshops, and solutions tailored to Caribbean tourism.
