What expectations do you have for this new edition of Cancun Travel Mart?

We are very pleased to once again welcome you here in Cancún, in the Mexican Caribbean, to this great event, which is undoubtedly one of the most important in the tourism sector nationwide. As you can see, hoteliers, airlines, tour operators, travel agents, and the media are all attending. For us, it's a great celebration of tourism, an ideal time to review the progress of our contracts, business deals, and commercial agreements, in addition to projecting a very good winter season, with high occupancy rates between December and February.

As the year draws to a close, what is your assessment of 2025?

It has been a very challenging year, but also a very positive one. Today we can confirm that we have welcomed more than 20 million tourists to the Mexican Caribbean, and we continue working toward our goal of 21 million. We were present at international fairs such as FIT Argentina, Top Resa in Paris, and events in Japan, consolidating emerging markets that are becoming increasingly relevant to us.

How is the destination preparing for the 2026 World Cup?

We currently have 136,000 rooms, making us the second-largest destination in the world, behind only Las Vegas. Furthermore, Cancún Airport will be a key strategic partner, as it is the only one in Mexico with direct connections to all 16 World Cup venues. Many countries also already have direct flights to Cancún.

We also have two properties that will host delegations; the teams have yet to be determined, but executives are already visiting the hotels. Thanks to our sea-level conditions and first-class infrastructure, we are a very attractive location for player recovery. And of course, Mexico is a country passionate about soccer: the soccer atmosphere will be intense here.
