Bogotá, Colombia – October 30, 2025. Wholesale travel agencies reported an average increase of 17% in sales during the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the most recent survey conducted by the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO). The report also revealed that 34% of services sold were international tour packages, while 49% of transactions were carried out through online channels, demonstrating greater adoption of digital tools in the sector.
“Wholesalers specialize in designing international tour packages for retail agencies to sell directly to travelers. The positive sales dynamic in this segment suggests more active B2B partnerships and greater demand for packaged products, driven by advance purchases for the end-of-year holiday season,” stated Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO.
The study also details that international tour packages accounted for 34% of total sales, followed by national packages (25%), individual services (20%), international packages without air tickets (12%) and national packages without air tickets (9%).
Regarding marketing channels, 51% of transactions were carried out in person, while 49% were conducted through digital means, showing a balanced coexistence between traditional models and technological platforms.
By type of demand, leisure tourism continued to lead over corporate and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions). “These results confirm that leisure remains the main driver of tourism activity, especially with the arrival of the end-of-year season, when travelers seek to discover new territories and cultures around the world,” concluded the CEO of ANATO.
