The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced that Antigua and Barbuda will host the 44th edition of Caribbean Travel Marketplace (CTM), scheduled for May 12–15, 2026. The decision reaffirms CHTA’s confidence in the destination’s leadership, vision, and commitment to advancing Caribbean tourism.
CTM is the region’s leading tourism forum, connecting Caribbean suppliers with global buyers to drive business, foster partnerships, and showcase the region’s innovation and resilience.
“As we look ahead to Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Antigua and Barbuda and build on the success of this year’s event,” said CHTA President Sanovnik Destang. “Marketplace continues to amplify the Caribbean’s collective voice globally, open new opportunities, and highlight the creativity and resilience that define our region.”
Returning to Antigua and Barbuda underscores the destination’s proven ability to deliver world-class events. Recently named the “Caribbean’s Best Meetings and Conference Destination” by the World Travel Awards, the country has successfully hosted major gatherings, including Marketplace 2025, the OAS Conference, and preparations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
“We are very proud to once again host Caribbean Travel Marketplace here in Antigua and Barbuda,” said Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. “Bringing together the Caribbean’s tourism leaders, suppliers, and global buyers demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the region’s tourism growth and showcases the vibrant culture and warm hospitality we’re known for.”
Marketplace 2026 will feature upgrades, including expanded accommodation options and enhanced venue facilities, alongside a continued focus on regional and international air connectivity through collaboration with government and aviation partners.
In a spirit of regional solidarity, CHTA extended support to Jamaica as it continues recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa, activating its Disaster Response Fund to assist affected destinations.
“Marketplace has always been about bringing the Caribbean together,” said CHTA CEO Vanessa Ledesma. “As our region continues to grow and recover, this event remains vital to strengthening partnerships and advancing tourism across the Caribbean.”
