Avianca —part of the Abra group, along with GOL and the strategic investment in Wamos Air— announced the arrival of its first Airbus A320neo, part of the group's order for 138 aircraft.

This new aircraft strengthens Avianca's narrow-body fleet, which now totals 135 aircraft dedicated to short- and medium-haul routes. In addition, the airline operates 16 wide-body aircraft for long-haul flights and 9 freighters. Together, these provide Avianca with one of the most extensive and connected networks in the region, with operations in more than 25 countries and 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.

The new A320neo features Airbus' innovative Airspace cabin, offering an enhanced travel experience thanks to XL overhead bins with 60% more carry-on baggage capacity and dynamic LED lighting that adapts to each phase of flight. It also includes three rows of premium seats in a two-by-two configuration, developed exclusively by Recaro for Avianca—a unique product in the region.

Beyond comfort, the A320neo offers a significant reduction in fuel consumption and emissions, combining operational efficiency with high standards of quality and sustainability.

This milestone is part of Abra Group's fleet plan, which includes 138 Airbus A320neo, 96 Boeing 737MAX, five Airbus A350s and up to seven Airbus A330neos, with the aim of strengthening operations and expanding the connectivity of its airlines.
