The meeting point between tradition and entrepreneurship.
Located 40 minutes from Lima, in the quiet town of Lurín, is Casa Hacienda Los Ficus, owned by the Puga Family, who also own the La Rosa Náutica restaurant, an icon of Peruvian gastronomy. The property began in 2000 with just six hectares dedicated to horse breeding and has transformed into a tourist and cultural enterprise that is now a national landmark.
The horse that walks in four steps.
The Peruvian Paso horse is considered the most comfortable saddle horse in the world. Its gait is unique—a four-beat movement that combines smoothness, balance, and impressiveness. Inherited from Spanish breeds brought over 400 years ago, this horse symbolizes the fusion of the peoples who formed Peru: Andean, Spanish, and Creole, uniting technique and beauty in every step.
A show that thrills visitors.
The experience offered by Hacienda Los Ficus goes beyond the exhibition. Tourists from all over the world are welcomed into a preserved rural environment, surrounded by agricultural landscapes and views of the Pachacámac archaeological site, one of the most important pre-Columbian ceremonial centers.
The equestrian show reveals the delicacy of the chalanes, horsemen who guide the animals with only the touch of the reins. The presentation culminates in the traditional marinera norteña, a dance in which woman and horse meet in a choreography of courtship and romance — a living celebration of Peruvian culture.
Gastronomy and family legacy
After the show, visitors enjoy a traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients, in an environment that blends countryside, art, and hospitality. The Puga Family's mission goes beyond tourism: it's a project of cultural preservation and economic development that generates jobs, stimulates sustainable tourism, and values the country's living heritage.
A business of soul and identity.
Casa Hacienda Los Ficus represents the balance between entrepreneurship and national identity. By uniting equestrian art, tradition, and gastronomy, the family has transformed a passion into an exemplary business model — where every step of the horse reflects the strength and elegance of Peru itself.
