The Gramado International Tourism Fair, held from November 6 to 9 at the Serra Park Convention Center (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), reaffirmed its position as one of the most important tourism business fairs in the Americas

The event officially opened on Thursday the 6th with a ceremony that brought together national and international authorities, including the National Secretary of Infrastructure, Credit and Investments of the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, Carlos Henrique Sobral; the Secretary of Tourism of Rio Grande do Sul, Ronaldo Santini; the Director of Tourism of Portugal in Brazil, Bernardo Cardoso; and the Mayor of Gramado, Nestor Tissot.

With the theme “Reimagining Tomorrow,” Festuris 2025 aimed to reflect on the role of humanity and technology in building the future of tourism. The fair registered a 15% growth compared to the previous year, with 17,000 participants, more than 400 booths, 110 speakers, and more than 60 hours of content

During the opening, Festuris CEO Marta Rossi emphasized that the event transcends simply celebrating its history: “After 37 years, we are not here just to celebrate the past, but to create new connections and answer the most pressing question of our time: how humanity and technology come together to reimagine the future of tourism.”

Rossi also highlighted the importance of sustainable tourism and Brazil's role on the global agenda, announcing a tribute to Costa Rica, a leading country in sustainability, and the launch of the Hortênsia Project, which integrates tourism, education, and regional development.

Co-founder and CEO Eduardo Zorzanello reinforced the event's transformative mission: “More than numbers, what drives us are the results and the legacy we leave. We have never seen ourselves as just a trade fair, but as an agent capable of impacting the economic, social, and environmental development of tourism.”

Zorzanello also highlighted the international representation of this edition, which brought together 200 hosted buyers from various countries and 64 international destinations, in addition to celebrating the progress of connectivity in Rio Grande do Sul with the resumption of flights in Porto Alegre and the construction of the new Vila Oliva airport.

Among the tributes of the evening, the Friends of Festuris Trophy was awarded to people who have spontaneously contributed to strengthening the event throughout its history

The Secretary of Tourism of Rio Grande do Sul, Ronaldo Santini, highlighted the impact of Festuris on the state's economic recovery following the recent floods, and the Mayor of Gramado, Nestor Tissot, welcomed the participants, noting that the city is also the birthplace of Natal Luz, another icon of Brazilian tourism.

The event closed with a central message: the tourism of the future must be more human, collaborative, and sustainable. Festuris 2025 once again solidified Gramado as the stage where great ideas for Latin American and international tourism are born.
