Training, linkages and recognition activities: Pillars of the 6th National Meeting of Inbound Tourism

The event, organized by ANATO, will bring together business owners and representatives from the tourism sector in Cali to strengthen collaboration, training, and the promotion of authentic experiences in national destinations

With a renewed format focused on the integration of the various actors in the industry, the sixth edition of the ANATO National Meeting of Inbound Tourism will take place on November 13 and 14 at the Valle del Pacífico Events Center in Cali, Valle del Cauca.


The opening day will be led by Paula Cortés Calle, Executive President of ANATO, who will present an updated overview of inbound and domestic tourism, as well as the strategies implemented in conjunction with travel agencies to boost the sector's growth. Following this, Luis Alejandro Dávila, Vice President of ProColombia, will present the international promotion strategy, while Fernando Diez, Marketing Director of Quasar Expeditions, will deliver the presentation “Generative AI in the Tourism Market.”


One of the event's central focuses will be the "Discovering Destinations" activity, a forum where entrepreneurs from Ciénaga (Magdalena), Tierralta (Córdoba), Puerto Asís (Putumayo), and Mompox (Bolívar) will present their proposals to a panel of experts. This initiative aims to showcase new tourism experiences and strengthen local development in areas with high growth potential.


According to the president of ANATO, the program has generated significant impacts in previous editions, boosting investment, linking to the guild and the participation of entrepreneurs in spaces such as the ANATO Tourism Showcase, which has favored regional strengthening and the expansion of commercial networks.


The first day will conclude with technical workshops focused on the practical application of knowledge in the industry, while the second day will be dedicated to networking and networking activities. During this time, participants can choose from five themed tours to explore the main attractions of the Valle del Cauca region and incorporate them into their service portfolios.


The 6th National Meeting of Inbound Tourism is thus consolidated as a key space for professionalization, innovation and cooperation among the different actors of Colombian tourism.
