The new edition of FITUR Know-How & Export, organized by FITUR and SEGITTUR in collaboration with ICEX Spain Export and Investment, will take place from January 21 to 23, 2026, at IFEMA Madrid’s Pavilion 12, known as the “Knowledge Pavilion”.
The event will bring together technology companies, destinations and industry professionals to focus on innovation, digital transformation and smart tourism management. It will showcase projects developed under Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by NextGenerationEU funds to drive the digital transition of the tourism sector.
The main theme will be the Intelligent Destinations Platform (PID), a strategic initiative to accelerate digitalization across Spanish destinations. During the fair, updates and success stories from supported destinations will be presented.
FITUR Know-How & Export will also highlight the open innovation platform, which includes the tourism data space, sandbox and marketplace—an integrated ecosystem that enables secure and interoperable data sharing.
SEGITTUR’s president, Enrique Martínez Marín, emphasized that FITUR Know-How & Export “has become a benchmark for smart tourism and an essential meeting point for sharing technological knowledge and solutions.”
The edition will feature 40 stands from technology companies showcasing innovative solutions in artificial intelligence, data analytics, sustainability, governance and visitor experience. Workshops and training sessions will also be held on digitalization, interoperability, sustainability and competitiveness in tourism.
With this new edition, FITUR Know-How & Export consolidates its position as a leading platform for tourism innovation and a catalyst for the shift towards smarter, more connected and sustainable destinations.
