The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) announced the main themes for its 2026 edition, which will reflect the Kingdom's commitment to innovation and sustainable development in the aerospace, defense, and space sectors.

During the three-day event, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) will be a central focus, fostering dialogue on the future of passenger and cargo transport. The initiative falls under the recent framework agreement between Eve Mobility and Bahrain's Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications (MTT) for the development of air taxis, and will bring together manufacturers, investors, and regulatory authorities to discuss new technologies, business models, and regulatory frameworks that will shape the future of air mobility.

New to the event is the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Expo, a space dedicated to promoting sustainable solutions in aviation infrastructure. This initiative aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality through the adoption of electric machinery and responsible operating practices in the sector.

Yousif Mohamed Mahmoud, Director General of BIAS, highlighted that the next edition “will expand the scope of the show, transforming it into a strategic platform for sustainable growth and cross-sector cooperation,” and added that the meeting “will present transformative themes and complementary activities that reflect the evolution of the global aerospace ecosystem.”

The Bahrain International Airshow 2026 will be held from November 18 to 20 at Sakhir Air Base, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Organized in conjunction with the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahrain Air Force, in partnership with Farnborough International, the event aims to establish itself as one of the most important gatherings on the global aeronautical calendar.

The official BIAS delegation will participate in the Dubai Airshow 2025, where it will hold meetings with strategic partners and sign new agreements in preparation for the 2026 edition, which aims to surpass the success of its previous edition, visited by more than 57,000 professionals and 226 delegations from 83 countries.
