Meliá Hotels International takes over management of the MiM hotels, owned by Leo Messi

The hotel chain is adding the Argentine star's properties to "The Meliá Collection", its exclusive brand of unique luxury hotels in iconic destinations

Meliá Hotels International announced the implementation of its alliance with MiM Hotels, the boutique hotel chain owned by Leo Messi, through which it will assume management of its properties. Following this agreement, MiM Hotels will become part of The Meliá Collection brand, a select group of unique hotels that combine authenticity, exclusivity, and personalized experiences.

MiM Hotels' portfolio comprises six properties located in prime destinations: Sitges, Sotogrande, Mallorca, Ibiza, Baqueira Beret, and Andorra. Each of these hotels reflects the Argentine footballer's legacy through unique details, such as the iconic Messi Suite or replicas of his autographed Ballon d'Or. The integration of these establishments into the Meliá group strengthens its position in the luxury segment, under a leasehold management model.

The Meliá Collection, which already comprises 26 properties in 12 countries, brings together hotels with their own distinct identity that maintain their unique style while benefiting from the group's global distribution, marketing, and loyalty network. This model will allow the Meliá Hotels & Resorts (MiM) to preserve their boutique character while expanding their international visibility and access to new markets.

MiM hotels are distinguished by their contemporary and sophisticated design, featuring the work of renowned interior designers such as Luis Bustamante and Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Gastronomy takes center stage, with creations by chef Nandu Jubany at establishments such as Baqueira, Andorra, and Sotogrande. His cuisine, inspired by the concept of the HINCHA restaurant, fuses local and Argentinian influences into a welcoming and creative offering.

The wellness offerings complete the experience, with hydrotherapy areas, personalized treatments, and environments dedicated to physical and mental well-being. Some hotels complement this offering with sports activities such as golf, skiing, or hiking, depending on the destination.
