The presence of foreign tourists is growing in the Oceanic Group's parks, favored by the regions where they are located, such as Balneário Camboriú — a traditional destination for Argentinians and Uruguayans. According to Regis Rodrigues, there is a natural attraction: the quality of the experiences encourages visitors to visit and recommend the parks.

In addition to this organic growth, the group invests in international trade shows and events. "A recent example was FIT Latin America," says Rodrigues. Technology also plays a strategic role, allowing them to expand their reach and maintain agile communication with foreign markets.

Information in Spanish and English is available in all units, reinforcing preparedness for diverse audiences. "São Paulo is a gateway to Brazil and receives both corporate and family audiences, which is very important for us," the director points out.

Growth sustained by robust numbers.

With ten parks spread across the South and Southeast regions of Brazil, the Oceanic Group surpasses the mark of 5 million annual visitors. For Rodrigues, these numbers reflect the power of leisure combined with education.

“Our audience is general; there are no social classes for us. We seek to offer leisure with education for everyone,” says the director, emphasizing that the moment is “very opportune” to expand their international presence.

Security as an ongoing commitment

Safety is treated as an absolute priority. Rodrigues explains that the parks operate with rigorous protocols, constant monitoring, efficient internal communication, and teams prepared to guarantee peace of mind for visitors.

He also emphasizes the importance of national and European certifications that reinforce the quality of processes involving people, employees, facilities, and animals. "We seek all possible certifications," says Rodrigues, highlighting the special care taken in parks that handle wildlife.

Curated selection that combines authenticity and expertise.

To deliver experiences that combine entertainment and learning, the group works with experts and partner institutions. Rodrigues explains that the process involves universities, organizations, and professionals dedicated to specific areas.

"When we seek a paleontological or museum collection, or even rare items like a dinosaur or historical coins, we look for technical expertise and qualified partners," says the director, ensuring that each exhibition is built on credibility.

The diversity of the Oceanic Group's parks

The Oceanic Group brings together a wide range of attractions that combine technology, leisure, education, conservation, and history. In São Paulo, it manages the largest zoo in the country, the Simba Safari — recently relaunched — as well as the Botanical Garden, orchidariums, and exhibitions about indigenous peoples.

In the South, the group operates automotive museums, the largest dinosaur theme park in Brazil — with over one hundred life-size replicas — and two Space Adventure complexes, in Canela and Balneário Camboriú, both with original NASA collections. Also part of the portfolio is Aventura Pirata, an immersive experience with themed settings and real artifacts.

Family tourism as the essence of the parks

Family tourism is a strategic base for the group. Grandparents, parents, children, friends, and schoolmates find in the parks a safe and educational space to share moments.

“Family outings are present in all our operations. We work to ensure that each attraction is accessible, welcoming, and enriching, regardless of age,” explains Rodrigues, reinforcing the inclusive nature of the experiences.

The career path of Regis Rodrigues

A civil engineer by training, Regis Rodrigues acknowledges that entering the corporate world brought him closer to the commercial area. Throughout his career, he has worked in the service, industrial, telecommunications, and media sectors, with experience at companies such as Claro, O Boticário, and Globo affiliates.

His entry into the tourism industry began with the operation of Beto Carrero World, followed by work at Grupo Cataratas. Today, as Commercial and Marketing Director of Grupo Oceanic, Rodrigues says he feels fulfilled: “Entertainment and tourism are beautiful markets in every sense, both for their potential and opportunities,” he says, describing the group as a company “in rapid development.”

Festuris took place at Serra Park in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, on November 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th, under the theme: Reimagining Tomorrow.
