What are Costa Rica's objectives at Festuris this year?

Costa Rica is in a process of repositioning itself in South America, and Brazil is key to that strategy. It is our third largest source market in the region and has always been very loyal to the destination. We want to strengthen that bond by presenting new offerings that revolve around sustainability, nature, adventure, and also wellness and luxury, but from a conscious and sustainable perspective.

How has Brazilian tourism performed in Costa Rica in 2025?

It has been a very positive year. In 2024, we surpassed 20,000 Brazilian tourists, and this year we project even greater growth. Through September, we registered a 26% increase compared to the previous year. Brazil is, in fact, the fastest-growing market for Costa Rica.

How is air connectivity between the two countries?

Currently, Brazilian travelers can reach Costa Rica with three main airlines: Copa, via Panama; Latam, via Lima; and Avianca, via Bogotá. Connectivity is very good and allows us to maintain a steady flow of visitors.

What are the most popular destinations within Costa Rica for Brazilian tourists?

Among the best known are La Fortuna, with the Arenal Volcano; Manuel Antonio, on the Central Pacific coast; and Guanacaste, home to our second international airport. However, we are also promoting other less explored regions, such as Los Santos, ideal for birdwatching; Cartago, with the Irazú Volcano and its hot springs; and Monteverde, which combines nature and sustainability. We want visitors to discover new experiences that complement traditional destinations.
