LATAM Airlines was recognized for the tenth consecutive year as "South America's Leading Airline 2025" at the World Travel Awards, known as the "Oscars of the travel industry." The selection was made through the awards' official website, where passengers and industry professionals voted for companies that stand out for their excellence in service, innovation, and travel experience.
Additionally, the company was recognized in the category “Best lounge in the region” (South America's Leading Airline Lounge 2025), for its exclusive space at the Santiago de Chile airport, considered the largest in South America and one of the most appreciated by customers.
“Receiving this recognition at the World Travel Awards fills us with pride and demonstrates that we are on the right track by putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. This achievement is only possible thanks to the trust of those who fly with LATAM Airlines and the dedication of our employees, who make every trip special. We will continue to evolve to always offer the best experience to those who choose to travel with us,”
stated Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group.
Among the features most valued by passengers are the new Business Suites, launched in April 2025, with individual doors, fully flat seats, 18-inch HD screens, and USB ports, designed with inspiration from Brazilian and Andean landscapes. Also highlighted was the onboard Wi-Fi connectivity, available on 90% of narrow-body aircraft, and LATAM Airlines Signature Check-in, which streamlines the process for Black Signature and Black members at the Santiago, Lima, and São Paulo airports. In Brazil, the airline maintains a strategic alliance with Audi to offer preferential remote boarding at Congonhas and Guarulhos airports.
The World Travel Awards, celebrating their 32nd edition, recognize the leading figures in tourism, hospitality, and air transport worldwide. Winners are chosen by the public and industry professionals, based on their knowledge and direct experience with the services provided.
These accolades add to other achievements obtained by LATAM Airlines during 2025, such as the highest rating of “Five-Star Global Airline” at the APEX awards, for the fourth consecutive year; the title of “Best Airline in South America” at the Skytrax World Airline Awards; and four international distinctions at the Pax International Readership Awards, which recognize excellence in the travel experience.
