In the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segment, the concept goes beyond convention centers: it's about connecting people in unique landscapes and contexts.

Lima exemplifies this potential with its Costa Verde, shaping cliffs facing the Pacific, an ideal setting for events and gastronomic experiences such as Peru Mucho Gusto. In Caral, 180 km from the capital, lies the first city in the Americas, with more than 5,000 years of history. Lima blends heritage and modernity: colonial mansions, carved balconies, and baroque churches coexist with neighborhoods like Barranco and Miraflores, symbols of Peruvian creativity and the new urban tourism.

Possible locations in Lima

The AC Hotel Lima Miraflores combines contemporary elegance and functional structure for small and medium-sized events. It has two meeting rooms with capacity for 60 people, ideal for corporate meetings. The Insumo Rooftop, on the 18th floor, and the AC Lounge expand the options with versatile environments and views of the Pacific.

In the colonial gardens of the Larco Museum, the Larco Café-Restaurant offers a welcoming indoor atmosphere and an outdoor area ideal for events. Under the direction of chefs Héctor Hernández and Pablo Lazarte, the cuisine combines sustainability and local ingredients, transforming each meal into an extension of Peruvian culture.

DanSa is a sensory experience that combines gastronomy, dance, and mixology. Chef Cristian Ramírez and mixologist Lio Alejandro welcome up to 400 people to a show that translates the spirit of Peru into music and flavors.

The InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores offers 11 event spaces with capacity for 475 guests. The highlight is the Royal Ballroom, ideal for conferences and celebrations. Located in Miraflores, it combines technology, impeccable service, and ocean views.

Casa Hacienda Los Ficus, in Lurín, offers a cultural experience with a show featuring Peruvian Paso horses, followed by a traditional lunch with farm products. The space integrates nature, art, and gastronomy, and is a benchmark in experiential tourism.

The historic Casa García Alvarado, built in 1912 and remodeled in 1932 in Miraflores, is a republican residence that belonged to the Castro Iglesias-Thorndike family. Today, under the care of Ana Maria and Josefina García Alvarado, it serves as a space for events and cultural visits.

MICE in the Sacred Valley and Cusco

Hacienda Sarapampa, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, combines gastronomy and landscape. Specializing in giant white corn, it offers open-air and glass-enclosed spaces with mountain views — tradition and comfort in perfect harmony.

The Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado Hotel & Villas, in Urubamba, features a 264 m² event room with capacity for 180 people. Its green areas host cultural experiences such as the Pachamama Ceremony, led by a local shaman. The Decodreams group presents three Andean dances, and musician José Luis Mamani Barragán plays ancestral wind instruments. The Alma Restaurant, by chef Dante Huaman, completes the experience with contemporary Peruvian cuisine.

PeruRail transforms the journey between Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes into a cultural celebration on rails, with live music and a fashion show featuring Peruvian textile crafts.

The Inkaterra hotel chain operates eight hotels in Peru: in Cusco (La Casona, Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, El MaPi by Inkaterra and Hacienda Urubamba), Madre de Dios (Reserva Amazônica, Hacienda Concepción and Amazon Field Station) and Piura/Talara (Cabo Blanco). They combine hospitality, nature and culture, with units adapted for events.

Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Valle Sagrado, part of the Marriott chain, has five event rooms totaling 635 m², with capacity for 300 people. The Hawa restaurant, led by chef Liner Vega, is renowned for its fine dining and welcoming architecture.

The Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Cusco, also part of Marriott, occupies a mansion that is over 500 years old. It offers six rooms and 817 m² of event space, most notably the Qoricancha ballroom, which can accommodate 250 people. It combines historical charm and modern technology, maintaining the brand's standard of excellence.

The Piuray Outdoor Center, in the Pongobamba community, created in partnership with Explorandes, is an example of sustainable community tourism. It brings together 160 families who welcome visitors on the shores of Laguna Piuray. It offers outdoor events for 300 people and highlights the ancestral pachamanca, a celebration of Andean culture and cuisine.

Infrastructure for large events in Peru

The country is strengthening its MICE potential with modern convention centers. The Lima Convention Center can accommodate 10,000 people; The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, 2,000 participants; the Cerro Juli Convention Center in Arequipa, the Jockey Exhibitions Center, and the Delfines Hotel & Convention Center in Lima complete the circuit.

Capacities vary depending on the format — auditorium, banquet, or trade fair — but Peru is establishing itself as a complete MICE destination, integrating culture, nature, and excellence in hospitality.

The Peru MICExperience 2025 took place in the second half of October and involved three major events: an immersion trip with 32 international buyers, who spent about six days traveling to destinations such as Lima, Iquitos, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Paracas, and even a cruise on the Amazon River; a press trip with five international journalists, who traveled for a week through the regions of Lima, Cusco, and Urubamba; and the business roundtables, held on October 27th at the Intercontinental Hotel Lima.
