Kissimmee is offering a sneak peek at what's coming in 2026 for travelers and tourism professionals. Among the highlights, SeaWorld Orlando will launch SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep, a new immersive dark ride focused on marine life. LEGOLAND Florida Resort will add Galacticoaster, the first indoor space-themed roller coaster designed for families. Walt Disney World will see major upgrades: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster will be transformed into Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Hollywood Studios, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be renovated at Magic Kingdom, and Disney's Animal Kingdom will debut the Zootopia: Better Together spectacular at the Tree of Life Theater. Old Town will celebrate its 40th anniversary with special events throughout the year.
As for cultural and family activities, Orlando will host the first Florida Children's Book Festival from February 20-22, 2026, featuring readings, interactive activities, and author meet-and-greets. Opera Orlando will kick off its season at Steinmetz Hall with Silent Night in February, The Merry Widow in April, and the special concert A Decade of Divas in May, with translations in English and Spanish. Additionally, ICON Park will feature a Build-A-Bear Workshop flagship store with interactive experiences.
Among the new hotel offerings, the ette hotel retains its MICHELIN Key for the second consecutive year, while the new Kompose Boutique Resort offers a swimming pool, lazy river, sauna, sports courts, mini golf and a lively bar just minutes from the theme parks.
In the culinary realm, Experience Kissimmee, in partnership with Atlas Obscura, launched the Latin Culinary Trail, showcasing twenty Latin restaurants and food trucks in Osceola County with multimedia content and recipes. Meanwhile, Kilwins Celebration features chocolates and desserts inspired by Dubai, such as its pistachio sundae with warm fudge.
In terms of air connectivity, Iberia inaugurated the direct route between Orlando and Madrid in October 2025, with four weekly flights. Additionally, ZIPAIR Tokyo will launch the first direct flight from Florida to the Asia-Pacific region in February 2026, connecting Orlando with Tokyo-Narita.
