ITB Berlin 2026 will take place from March 3 to 5 next year, marking the start of its 60th anniversary as one of the world's most influential tourism events. The trade fair will once again bring together decision-makers, government representatives, media, and professionals from across the tourism value chain in Berlin, further solidifying its position as a key hub for exchanging trends, knowledge, and business opportunities. This year's edition combines six decades of history with a clear vision for the future, under the campaign "Every moment tells a story." Simultaneously, the ITB Berlin Convention 2026 will be developed around the theme "Leading Tourism into Balance," focusing on sustainable strategies, resilient business models, and the issues that will shape the future of the industry
Angola will be the Official Host Country, with a presence in Hall 21 under the slogan “Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life,” highlighting its culture, nature, and adventure offerings. The fair also incorporates new strategic alliances, including Airbnb as a Premium Partner, with a special focus on rural tourism and family travel. In addition, Peru participates as an Adventure Travel Partner, China returns as sponsor of the ITB Buyers Circle, and the new African Travel Hub debuts in Hall 21. In Hall 5.1, a group of German travel tech startups will present innovative technological solutions geared toward the evolution of the sector
One of the spaces that promises to capture attendees' attention is ITB Späti, a meeting point inspired by Berlin's iconic 24-hour shops. This space will be used for informal networking, happy hours, ITB Guided Tours, and new destination & innovator pitches. In 2026, the guided tours return with themed tours on MICE, culture, hotel technology, sustainability, innovation, and Tours & Activities. Also returning is Connexion Night, organized in conjunction with the German Federal Association of the Tourism Industry (BTW), which brings together young professionals from the sector
Among the highlights is the launch of the ITB Global Travel Collection, a special anniversary publication that compiles industry milestones, profiles of key leaders, and trend analyses, available digitally and during the event. The trade show will also feature ITB Americas Night, a networking event offering an exclusive preview of the first edition of ITB Americas, scheduled to take place from November 10-12, 2026, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Since its first edition in 1966, ITB Berlin has established itself as the leading platform for global tourism. For 2026, the trade fair plans an edition aligned with the sector's current challenges, maintaining its commitment to innovation and continuous development. In 2025, ITB brought together 5,800 exhibitors from more than 170 countries and nearly 100,000 visitors, figures that reflect its strategic role in the tourism ecosystem. In addition, there is ITB 360°, a year-round innovation hub with specialized articles, podcasts, and new formats aimed at the international tourism community.
